SIS 2.0

Service Information Systems

(1 day course) Cat® Service Information System (SIS) is the electronic service tool that covers all information for Cat products from 1977 to today.  This course will familiarize the student will all the new features and basic operation of the program.

A laptop is required for this class, the participant must have a valid CWS login.

Electronic Technician

(1 day course) Caterpillar® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) is diagnostic software required to communicate, diagnose and service electronically controlled Cat engines, and machines. This course is a foundation level class designed to help the student learn to utilize CAT E.T.

A laptop with ET software is required for this course.

Principles Of Air Conditioning

(2-day course) A working, and efficient air conditioning system is a must have in today’s equipment. This course is a foundational level class that covers a/c systems used on all types of vehicles and equipment. The student will obtain Section 609 certification to legally repair A/C systems.

It is recommended that the student bring any personal A/C tooling to class.

Hydraulics

(2-day course) Hydraulic systems are an integral part of most heavy equipment. Fluid power is the technology of converting power to a more useable form and distributing it to where it is needed. This course is a foundation level class designed to introduce service technicians to hydraulic fundamentals and circuit testing basics.

Intro to Tier 4 Final Emissions

(2-day course) Cat construction machines feature diesel engines designed to comply with today’s stringent Tier 4 emissions requirements. This course is a foundation level class designed to introduce service technicians to Tier 4 final emissions systems and components found on CAT engines.

Completion of SIS 2.0 and ET is recommended for this class.

Advanced Tier 4 Final Emissions

(2-day course) Cat construction machines feature diesel engines designed to comply with today’s stringent Tier 4 emissions requirements. This course is an advanced level class designed to assist service technicians in troubleshooting Tier 4 final emissions systems and components found on CAT engines.

Completion of SIS 2.0, ET, and Introduction to Tier 4 Final Emissions is required for this class.

Electronics

(2-day course) The electrical system in today’s equipment is a complex network of wires, fuses, relays and computer-controlled components. This course is a foundational level class designed to introduce the student to electrical fundamentals and circuit testing basics.

It is recommended that the student bring a Digital Multimeter to class.

Intro to Applied Failure Analysis

(2-day course) Applied Failure Analysis (AFA) teaches a logical, fact-based, method of analyzing product failures to determine the root cause of the problem. This reduces repetitive failures, minimizes repair costs, and increases product availability. This course is a foundational level class designed to assist technicians in determining the most probable root cause of fractures.

Completion of SIS 2.0 ,ET, and Introduction to Tier 4 Final Emissions  is required  for this class.
